What the Data Shows

HP9 is one of the strongest repeating Harrop combinations

The FDFI2300 and HP9 combinations repeatedly produced:

  • Around 500-540 rwkW
  • Around 750-830 Nm
  • Strong repeatability across multiple vehicles

This has made the HP9 one of the strongest proven street and strip combinations we tune regularly.

We recommend the use of our new cam the Oztrack HP-SC3 for 6/6.2L FDFI2300 and FDFI2650 builds. It is superior to the HP9.

HP3 is extremely strong for a balanced street setup

The HP3 combinations consistently produced:

  • Around 500 rwkW
  • Very strong torque
  • Broad power delivery
  • Strong drivability for street use

This is one reason the HP3 remains one of the most popular blower cams we use.

The 2650i sits above the 2300 combinations

The 2650i combinations clearly produced:

  • Higher average rwkW
  • Stronger upper RPM power
  • Larger airflow capacity
  • Strong torque retention at higher RPM

The strongest combination in the data produced:

  • 635 rwkW
  • 1001 Nm

Supporting Modifications Matter

The strongest combinations typically included:

  • DPE or Manta exhaust systems
  • High-flow cats
  • VCM or Harrop OTR intake systems
  • Fuel system upgrades
  • Automatic transmission tuning
  • Converter upgrades in some vehicles
