Oztrack BMW Super TT LS3 Stroker Sedan
In 2025, we will have a jointly owned Oztrack circuit race car in action. It is a BMW Coupe. Its initial engine will be a stroked-sleeved LS3 415ci. 13.9:1 (E85) AFR260 heads. Oztrack designed custom cam. The BTR shaft rocker kit is combined with Texas Speed roller-tipped rockers. Johnson axle oiled lifters. Custom-made tuned length 2″ headers.
The goal is to build something that can make meaningful peak power near 7500 and rev to 8000rpm. In each gear, it won’t live below 5250 very much. The hardest decision has been the manifold to use. It needs to fit in a way that lets it get a good air feed. The Fast LSXHR is far less expensive than an 8 TB system, and we would prefer to wait for that for a possible future larger capacity engine that will use LS7 heads and solid roller cam/adjustable shaft rockers.
We have sourced an 8HP70 gearbox from a BMW, an 8-speed gearbox that can launch from its stall converter but shift sequentially. It will have on steering wheel paddle shift.
The car has had air-jacks fitted at Oztrack, as well as lightened roof and windows.
