What is included?

We supply and install the Performance Design Carbon XS Manifold along with a Granatelli 103mm Throttle body. Then we dyno tune the engine.  If you are a previous customer your tune is discounted.We usually use the VCM OTR and install their Mafless Boot, IAT sensor and harness.  The Boot is included. A new VCM OTR is $550 installed if you dont already have one.The XS Intake Manifold changes the design of current intake manifolds. It makes the most of the space under the hood. When designing the optimum intake runner length and shape the fuel rail gets in the way…so we moved it….inside the intake manifold! After testing all the popular manifolds, our manifold achieved what others could not. It increased horsepower and torque on a stock engine. The gains grew even more with cam and exhaust upgrades. All other manifolds lost on HP or Torque to make the gain on the other.Specifications & Features -Injection molded glass reinforced nylon construction -Modular runners with 3 staggered lengths for best performance -Accepts standard EV6 LS3/LS7-style injectors -Injector extension wires passed through sealed grommets -103mm forward facing throttle body flange (throttle body not included) -Carbon fiber center bolt cover -Factory MAP sensor location -PCV and Canister Purge Solenoid OEM connections -Includes stainless steel hardware for installation -Includes molded port, plenum and throttle seals -Intake can be reversed on the engine -Fits under the hood and cowl of VE and VF Commodore -Max recommended boost: 20psi -Plenum volume: 16.4L

Approx Gains

Gains of approximately 15 kW and 40 Nm are possible. Performance Design and LSX Magazine saw the equivalent of 20 rwwk and 30Nm recently in a cam-upgraded LS3. We recently had a LS3 Manual with our HPS cam make 377 rwkw and 589Nm which is well out of range of anything we have seen in a 6.2L using the stock manifold. 

Optional Head Upgrade

• CNC Ported Heads with new valve seats (exchange), head gaskets, head bolts and new Ls7 lifters/buckets. Extra $3900. Gain an extra 15rwkw
• AFR260 Heads (exchange) , head gaskets, head bolts and new LS7 lifters/buckets Extra $6900. Gain an extra 30 rwkw

Dyno Tuning

Dyno tuning, on the other hand, is conducted entirely on our advanced Mainline ProHub Dyno. This method allows us to measure and optimize power and torque across the entire RPM range with exceptional precision. We can calibrate the engine for peak performance and reliability by simulating real-world conditions on the dyno. Dyno tuning is great for people who want to increase horsepower and torque. It is also helpful for those getting their car ready for racing or track use. Performance Car Tuning usually involves dyno testing.
