Real VF LS3 combinations and measured results
These results show how different LS3 combinations perform on the same Mainline ProHub dyno. Power varies with engine condition, camshaft, cylinder heads, exhaust, intake, fuel and the complete setup. We tune each car around its own combination rather than chasing one fixed number.
Myles · VF Commodore LS3 · Manual
CNC-ported head LS3
Myles’ manual VF LS3 combines CNC-ported cylinder heads with a free-flowing DPE exhaust and VCM over-the-radiator intake. The final run recorded 382.7 rwkW at 6518 rpm and 622.3 Nm at 5401 rpm, rounded here to 383 rwkW and 622 Nm.

Paul · VF Commodore LS3 · Automatic
Oztrack-built sleeved LS3
Paul’s VF uses an LS3 that was sleeved, CNC Bored, Diamond Honed and rebuilt in-house at Oztrack. CNC-ported heads, an underdrive balancer, a full DPE exhaust and VCM OTR support the engine combination. Its final run recorded 381.6 rwkW at 6421 rpm and 607.8 Nm at 5420 rpm.

Tracy · VF Commodore LS3 · Automatic
Intake and full-exhaust LS3
Tracy’s manual VF LS3 is a useful example of a simpler intake-and-exhaust combination. With a VCM OTR, long-tube headers, a three-inch DPE cat-back and custom dyno tuning, it recorded 313.1 rwkW at 6162 rpm and 550.1 Nm at 4806 rpm. This is called our OZ380 Package.

What affects LS3 rear-wheel power?
What power will my VF LS3 make?
The result depends on the engine’s condition and the complete combination. Intake, exhaust, camshaft, cylinder heads, compression, fuel, transmission and tyre or hub setup can all change the measured figure. We assess your car and parts before setting an expectation.
Why do similar LS3 builds make different power?
Two cars with similar parts can differ because of engine condition, camshaft specifications, head flow, exhaust restrictions, fuel quality and calibration. Dyno type and test method also affect comparisons, which is why results from the same dyno are more useful.
Where are these LS3 dyno results measured?
All three cars shown here were measured at Oztrack Engineering & Tuning in Penrith, Western Sydney, using our Mainline ProHub dyno.
