Thomas’ manual VF combines an Oztrack HP3 camshaft with CNC-ported cylinder heads, a full Manta exhaust and VCM OTR. The final run recorded 374.1 rwkW at 6567 rpm and 606.4 Nm at 5381 rpm.

Ricky’s six-speed automatic VF uses an Oztrack HP3 camshaft with a performance exhaust and VCM OTR. Its final run recorded 341.3 rwkW at 6334 rpm and 560.4 Nm at 5419 rpm.

The result depends on the engine’s condition and the complete combination. Camshaft, cylinder heads, intake, exhaust, fuel and transmission all affect the final figure. These five cars show a measured range from 288.1 to 374.1 rwkW.

How much power can a stock-cam L98 make?

Robert’s stock-cam manual L98 wagon recorded 288.1 rwkW with a performance exhaust, VCM OTR and custom dyno tune. Your result may differ with engine condition, transmission, fuel and the parts fitted.

Why do similar 6.0L builds make different power?

Cars with similar parts can differ because of engine condition, camshaft specifications, head flow, exhaust restrictions, fuel quality and calibration. Dyno type and test method also change reported figures, so results recorded on the same dyno provide a better comparison.
